Three games into the new season, Kampala Queens are confidently finding their rhythm. Their latest performance a 5–2 away triumph over Rines SS WFC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Sunday, 19 October 2025 — summed up a team that is rediscovering its sharpness and hunger for dominance.
It was a game that tested their composure, but also one that showcased their growing chemistry. The Queens struck first in the 21st minute when Zaitun Namaganda’s shot slipped through the goalkeeper’s gloves after a clever setup by Patience Nabulobi.

Rines momentarily disrupted the flow, equalizing through Patricia Nakato in the 27th minute, but Kampala Queens responded like a team unwilling to let control slip away. Catherine Nagadya restored the lead before halftime, timing her run perfectly to meet Esther Namusoke’s long ball — a goal that reflected the team’s calm and calculated approach in the final third.
After the break, the queens turned on their familiar dominance. Kamiyati reopened the party with a strong shot out of the box in 56th minute sending the crowd to her viral celebration. Namaganda doubled her tally midway through the second half, heading in after Joanita Ainembabazi’s rebound, before Eve Nagayi capitalized on a defensive lapse to make it 4–2. But just when Rines thought they had a way back, Kampala Queens reignited their attacking rhythm.

Their trademark late-game surge returned — Kamiyati Naigaga struck in the 85th minute, rounding off a fine team display and sealing a 5–2 victory that marked their second win in three matches and extended their unbeaten start to the campaign.
For Naigaga, it was another day to remember. The forward has now scored in every game this season, totaling four goals in three appearances and earning her second consecutive Woman of the Match award and currently the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League 2025/2026 top scorer. Her form has been nothing short of electric — the spark that keeps Kampala Queens’ attack alive.
“I thank the Almighty for today’s win,” Naigaga reflected. “I appreciate our coach for giving us everything we need to perform at our best, and I also thank my teammates for their teamwork and determination in securing three points away from home. I’m motivated to keep working hard to score more goals because winning the Woman of the Match award twice in a row is not easy.”
From the touchline, Assistant Coach Sharon Kizza watched with pride but also with a cautious eye. Her words after the game captured both satisfaction and ambition.
“It was an important away win,” she said. “The players gave their all, and we’re happy with their fight. But we must improve defensively — we’ve conceded in every game so far. We’ll keep working to make sure our scoring form is matched by stability at the back.”
This five star result lifts Kampala Queens to second place on the league table, level on points with leaders She Corporate FC but behind on goal difference. Three games in, the Queens have scored 8 goals, shown attacking intent, and proved that their title aspirations remain firmly alive.
Next up, they visit Asubo Ladies FC at Kampala Quality Grounds on Sunday, 26 October 2025, where they’ll aim to continue their unbeaten run and close the gap at the summit.
