Catherine Wujja returns to face her former club, ready to play once again at her old home ground and in front of familiar fans. She admits it will be a special feeling stepping back onto familiar turf, but despite the memories, her full focus is on helping her current team secure the victory.
“It feels special going back to my former ground. I have a lot of good memories there, but right now my focus is fully on helping my team get the win.”
The defender stressed the importance of staying sharp and taking chances.
“We just need to stay focused and make the most of our chances.”
With determination, Wujja added that she aims to give her best in every way possible — whether by scoring, assisting, or simply working hard for the team.
“My goal is to give my best, celebrate a team victory, and contribute in any way I can — whether by scoring or assisting.”
And to the fans she said; “I want to you for the constant support. Please keep believing in us; we’ll give our all to make you proud.”
Assistant Coach Sharon Kizza: – The team is improving and ready for Rines.
Assistant coach Sharon Kiiza praises the team’s positive progress so far, noting that four points from the first two matches is a good start.

“So far, the team’s progress has been encouraging. From the two games we’ve played, we’ve managed to collect four points, which is a positive start. However, this round we’ve worked on improving our organization and mentality as a team. We always remind our players that it’s not over until the final whistle.”
She highlighted how important their comeback win in the last game was.
“Coming from behind in our previous game and managing to score the winning goal was very important for us as a technical team, especially since we were playing at home. We truly appreciate the ladies for their hard work and fighting spirit.”
Looking ahead to the Rines game, Kizza expressed confidence in the team’s readiness and mindset.
“Heading into the Rines game, the team is ready and eager. The players are motivated and focused on securing maximum points. We have a few minor knocks, but nothing serious, so we expect everyone to be available and ready to play.”
This upcoming match might also mark Marrion Amangati’s League debut as she has been away for a period after her star performance in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAF Zonal Qualifers.
