Kampala Queens FC forward Kamiyati Naigaga, has been crowned the Finance Trust Bank Player of the Month for October 2025, a well-deserved reward for her outstanding form, consistency, and growing influence in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League.
The official awarding ceremony was held on Tuesday morning at the Finance Trust Bank headquarters, Twed Plaza, where Kamiyati received her plaque and gift package in the presence of league officials, bank representatives, and members of the Kampala Queens FC technical team. The room filled with smiles and applause as she stepped forward to receive her award — a moment that celebrated both personal achievement and team effort.

Kamiyati’s remarkable performances saw her beat off strong competition from Naava Molly and Jessica Namanda, both from She Corporate FC, to claim the prestigious award. This recognition further underlines her consistency and impact in Kampala Queens’ attacking setup, where she continues to lead with both skill and determination.
In the month of October, the in-form striker scored five goals in four matches, guiding the Queens to key results that kept their league ambitions alive. She began the month with a crucial equalizer against Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC in the opening game of the season, helping the team earn a valuable point away from home.
She then returned home to find the net in the dying minutes against She Makerere University WFC, before firing in a brace in the 5-2 away victory over Rines SS WFC, a performance that also earned her one of her two Woman of the Match awards. Kamiyati later wrapped up her incredible month with another goal against her former club, Asubo Ladies FC, sealing a perfect attacking run for the October fixtures.
Her second Woman of the Match honor came in the thrilling late victory against She Makerere FC, where her stoppage-time strike lifted the Queens to a memorable 2-1 win at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Kamiyati’s performances throughout October embodied the spirit of the Kampala Queens — resilience, teamwork, and belief. Her sharp finishing, intelligent movement, and tireless work rate made her one of the most dangerous forwards in the league.
Her ability to remain calm in pressure situations stood out, especially in games where her goals turned potential draws into decisive victories. She has become known for scoring at crucial moments — the kind of forward every coach dreams to have.
Kampala Queens’ head coach, Asefa Firew Hailegebreal, praised Kamiyati’s professionalism and dedication, describing her as a player who inspires both teammates and coaches.
“Kamiyati is a hardworking player,” he said. “She listens, learns, and delivers when it matters most.”
After receiving her award, Kamiyati was full of gratitude — but equally motivated to achieve even more this season.
“This award means a lot to me, but I owe it to my teammates and the technical team,” she said. “Football is a team game — without their support, I wouldn’t have achieved this. Every goal I scored came from a pass, a buildup, or teamwork. So, this award belongs to all of us.”

She also shared a glimpse into her personal journey, revealing how much the recognition means to her after balancing academics and football in the previous season.
“Last season I focused more on my studies, so I couldn’t perform at my best,” Kamiyati explained. “Winning the Player of the Month award motivates me to work even harder and score more goals. My target is to become the league’s top scorer and hopefully win the best player award at the end of the season.”
Kamiyati leads the Kampala Queens attacking line alongside Catherine Nagadya and Joanita Ainembabazi, forming one of the most exciting and feared front trios in Ugandan women’s football. Her pace, creativity, and precision in front of goal continue to make her a vital weapon for the team as they aim to defend their league crown.
Beyond her individual brilliance, Kamiyati’s recognition also reflects the strong unity within the Kampala Queens squad. The club has built a culture of hard work, consistency, and teamwork — values that have kept them at the top of Ugandan women’s football.

With her confidence sky-high and her goals flowing, Kamiyati Naigaga looks set to continue her fine form.
Congratulations to Kamiyati Naigaga – our Finance Trust Bank Player of the Month for October 2025.
