The game started on a balanced note, with both sides creating several chances but failing to convert. The deadlock was broken in the 43rd minute, when “the Queen Hunter” struck again  converting a precise cross from Esther Namusoke that floated over the goalkeeper’s head.

Just two minutes later, Zaitun Namaganda doubled the lead with a calm and composed finish. In added time of the first half, Catherine Nagadya was fouled inside the box and confidently converted from the penalty spot to make it 3–0 before halftime.

In the second half, the Queens continued to dominate, creating numerous chances. In the 70th minute, Joanita Ainembabazi extended the lead with a brilliant strike into the far-right corner. Ten minutes later, she sealed her brace, making it 5–0 for the Queens a commanding performance that delighted the home fans.

The match also saw Gloria Namakula make her first appearance of the season in style as she recorded a cleansheet, while Teddy Najjuma earned back a spot in the starting lineup.

The emphatic win marked the Queens’ first clean sheet of the season after conceding in their previous four fixtures. It also settles them to third place on the league table, with 11 points and 9 goals after Match Day 5.

After the final whistle, assistant coach Sharon Kizza praised the team’s performance and the tactical adjustments that helped secure the clean sheet, saying:

“The goals were many, but the important thing was the three points and not conceding any goal because in the previous games we have been conceding. Changing the goalkeeper was due to the data we have been collecting from the previous games, and we are happy she did her best.”

Meanwhile, Joanitah Ainembabazi, who was named Woman of the Match, expressed her joy and emphasized the importance of teamwork among the strikers:

“The connection among strikers starts with friendship, it helps us to coordinate and on our movements. I’m happy to be the Woman of the Match, and I’m going to work hard and add on my goals.”

In their next fixture, the Queens will visit newcomers St. Noa Girls Zana FC at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku, who sit just below them on the table a game expected to be another tight contest.
