Kampala Queens FC will welcome Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC to MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Sunday, 10th May 2026 in what will be the penultimate fixture of the 2025/26 season—and the Queens’ final home game of the campaign.

The encounter presents contrasting motivations for the two sides. The Queens of Soccer focus on their pride, performance and finishing strong. While the title defense is no longer within reach, Kampala Queens FC will be determined to assert their dominance at home and maintain the strong reputation in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League. A commanding display would not only boost morale but also underline their competitive edge heading into the final match day of the season.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC arrive in Lugogo with everything to play for, as they continue their pursuit of the league title and look to close the gap on the table leaders. With the season nearing its climax, every point remains vital in their title charge.

Encounters between the two sides have historically been fiercely contested. In nine previous meetings in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League, eight have produced outright winners—clear evidence of the competitive nature of this fixture. Out of these, Kampala Queens FC have registered three victories, while only one match ended in a 1-1 draw, that was in the first leg this season.

Assistant captain Jamilah Nabulime has expressed confidence in the squad’s readiness ahead of the clash, emphasizing the team’s desire to finish the season on a strong note, especially in front of the home fans.

“We are ready for the match. It doesn’t matter whether it is a title decider or not, we want to win all our remaining games.” Said Jamilah. Her words reflect the determination within the camp as the Queens aim to deliver a performance worthy of their supporters.

Assistant coach Shafic Mutebi also provided insight into the team’s preparations, highlighting the return of key players and the positive atmosphere within the squad.

“From the Masindi game where we missed about five players, they are now back in the team and very positive. Kawempe Muslim are coming to Lugogo, which is our home, and our main focus is to win. We are handling each game separately.”

Mutebi further noted the importance of internal competition within the squad, especially with younger players stepping up and pushing standards higher.

“When the young players come in and perform, it sends a message that the standards are high. We are working to integrate both young and experienced players to achieve positive results.”

On the injury front, the team has received a timely boost with the return of Rinah, who had been sidelined following an injury in Masindi.

“We don’t have many injuries. Rinah had some time out after Masindi, but she is back with us and could feature when the opportunity comes.”
