Kampala Queens FC is delighted to announce the arrival of Amangat Marrion, a versatile and hardworking left back, to the Palace family. Marrion brings over a decade of topflight experience, joining from Olila High School Women Football Club where she has been a loyal servant since 2013.

Born and raised in Katakwi – Angopet, Marrion’s football journey started in Primary Five at Katakwi Primary School, where she first fell in love with the game. Her breakthrough moment came in 2013 during the HopeChest Tournament hosted at Katakwi High School. It was there that her raw talent impressed a teacher, Mr. Otim, who connected her to Olila High School WFC. That opportunity marked the beginning of a long and successful journey in women’s football.
For more than 10 years, Marrion became one of Olila’s most reliable and respected players. She grew into a key figure, using her pace, vision, and creativity on the left wing to opponents across the league.
Her impact was particularly felt during the 2024/25 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season, where she delivered standout performances:
- Scored against Tooro Queens at home
- Assisted against Tooro Queens in both legs (home and away)
- Assisted against Wakiso Hills away from home
- Featured in 21 out of 22 league matches
- Crowned Player of the Match in Olila’s home clash with Tooro Queens
Her consistency, discipline, and match-winning contributions established her as one of the most admired players in Soroti and beyond and now attracted the Palace attention.
Joining Kampala Queens marks a fresh challenge for Marrion, one she has embraced with excitement.
“Kampala Queens is the right place for me to grow and test myself at the highest level in Ugandan women’s football. I want to give my best here and also inspire young girls from Katakwi that dreams are possible,” Marrion shared.
Beyond performing at the Palace, she has her eyes firmly set on the future. In the next four to five years, Marrion dreams of playing football at a higher professional level outside Uganda, competing in more advanced and competitive leagues. She sees Kampala Queens as the perfect platform to showcase her abilities, grow as a player, and earn opportunities beyond the local game.
Her arrival at the Palace strengthens the squad, adds a wealth of experience and a burning desire to succeed.
Welcome home, Amangat Marrion, a Queen with a mission.
