Overview

Kampala Queens Football Club is a professional women’s football team based in Uganda, proudly known as the “Queens of Soccer.” Established in 2016 after taking over Ghaddafi Integrated Academy, qualified for the FUFA Women’s Super League playoffs in both 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, though falling short to Kawempe Muslim and Lady Doves respectively.

The club has since risen to become one of the most successful and influential women’s football teams in the country.

The club’s main color, Turquoise Blue, represents strength, uniqueness, and royalty—just like the spirit of the Queens. With a clear goal to empower women through football, Kampala Queens FC inspires the next generation of female players while proudly representing Uganda in local, regional, and continental competitions.

Achievements

Two times Champions of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women’s Super League: 2022/23, 2024/25

In the 2021/22 season, the Queens came close to glory, losing the title to She Corporate FC only on goal difference.

In the 2022/23 season, the Queens finished with an impressive 47 points in 18 games, recording only one loss to rivals Kawempe Muslim.

Hosted the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers 2023, competing in Group A. Despite winning the opening match, the Queens did not progress beyond the group stages.

Recent Milestone

After clinching the 2024/25 FUFA Women’s Super League title, Kampala Queens FC secured the honor of representing Uganda at the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers in Kenya. Seeded alongside Kenya Police Bullets FC (Kenya) and Denden FC (Eritrea) in group stages, the queens went to semifinal stage where they fell to Rayon Sports WFC in spot kicks after a goalless draw in normal playing time.

Partnership

In June 2024, Kampala Queens FC entered a historic three-year partnership with KCCA FC (1 July 2024 – 30 June 2026). Through this collaboration, Kampala Queens stands as KCCA FC’s official women’s football club, working hand-in-hand in FUFA, CAF, and FIFA competitions, and strengthening the growth of both men’s and women’s football in Uganda.

In the same year, Kampala Queens FC signed a two years partnership with Jonard Conglomerate Limited at the principal shirt sponsor.
